Nature In Renewal

A lot of things have been happening both in my physical reality and more significantly in my inner world the past couple of weeks.  Notably, some powerful signs from nature have appeared that have seemed very significant messages from spirit, which I want to share with you in a later post.  Today, however I want to share two art / soul journaling pages which I have not posted yet because of various distractions.

First I had a little “mini crisis” from having to move my blog to a new platform and host, which required a lot of time spent on researching where to move it to and how to do it and still keep my domain name.  Then the actual move took time as I had to move each post individually, as well as each comment.

Then we were in the midst of the 3-day Memorial Day weekend which meant that I had too little free time to spend quietly photographing my pages, uploading and formatting them to my computer, and composing a blog post.  Seems like the computer aspects always take the longest.  Why is that?  At last, here I am!

The theme for this month’s Creative Every Day challenge has been Nature, and Id create some pages using a couple different kinks of leaves from my back yard as natural stamps to decorate the background of the pages.  Here they are:

BeginAgain      Renewal

Both were started by creating a background and coming back later with the details.  I put paint on the back of some leaves from my yard and pressed them onto the pages.  Also used were some lovely origami paper I had in my stash (the Begin Again letters and the wavy border strip at the bottom of that same page), some tissue paper, and some cutouts from a watercolor background I had painted for something else (on the Renewal page).  The watercolor painting hadn’t worked out but I decided to keep it and it came in handy for this art journal page.

The Renewal page doesn’t feel quite finished yet, so if I add more to it, I will report back here when I do.  Note the words I felt compelled to write on the tissue paper on the bottom left corner.  These were created days before my “sightings” which I’ll explain in my next post.

That’s about all for now – More to come!

Creatively Yours In Spirit,

Arlene
