Two New ACEOs For You

Paintings #43 and #44 of 100 In 100

I have a little catching up to do both in posting art and also creating it!  I think we are on Day 40 of our challenge and I am up to 44 , so I don’t feel too bad.  I just hate to get out of the habit of painting every day, and it has been 2 days since I actually created any new paintings because of other things on my agenda!

Already I am feeling a bit of withdrawal.  I never thought it would come to this, and I am glad it has!  So here are 2 new ACEO’s I painted a few days ago.

This abstract painting was done by selecting red, white (the watercolor paper), and blue in watercolors with the idea that I was going to enter it in another weekly prompt.  That never happened (i.e. my actually entering it in time).  However I am presenting it now as one of my 100 in 100 paintings at least.  Actually I did another 5” x 7” piece also in the same color scheme which I don’t particularly like and today I may see if I can save part of it to cut down to ACEO size, as sometimes I get just a small area that I do like.  We’ll see.

This next one is a landscape painting that was painted fairly quickly from a photograph I still have from the years that I lived in New Zealand.  It was a photo taken on the South Island in the Queenstown area, for those of you who know it or want to look it up.  Almost everywhere I looked in New Zealand there were picturesque scenes, and I wish I had more photographs now that had survived my moves.

In the next few days, I will be listing some of my new paintings created in this challenge on my Artfire site, and now I have some information on what people generally like thanks to your feedback in my Giveaway.  Look for a post on when and which ones soon!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Creatively Yours In Spirit,

Arlene

Hi Arlene
The first painting tells me you are patriotic and loving it. The second one of NZ is beautiful.

I love seeing what you are up to, thanks for sharing you with us.
