I am getting to the end of the 100 in 100 Challenge, and have some of the last images to share.  Not many more to do, and I am confidant I will at least come close to completing 100 paintings / art projects in 100 days.  I will have 100 at least, and it will be done in very close to 100 days.

The above detail watercolor paintings are the last I have to share on the big project I have been working on.  The following two images are pieces I did as I am exploring how to work with acrylic paints.

Painting89_LayersPainting # 89 - “Layers

This is an abstract image and just reminded me of layers of colors and shapes, which I painted on watercolor paper in acrylic paints.

Painting90_EarthWaterAirFire

Painting # 90 - “Earth, Water, Air, Fire”

Again, the above is acrylic paint on watercolor paper and more exploration in an abstract image.

Finally, the last images I want to share today (below) is of a mixed media altered box I created to house a gift for one of my grand-daughters, and I had a lot of fun doing it.  I got to dig into my paints, art journaling ephemera, etc.  She seemed to love it, and I created it in the hopes that she might want to save it to keep all her little treasures in it later on.

That’s about all for this post.  Next I will be writing a piece about inspiration that is formulating in my mind right now.

Arlene,

Your paintings are lovely, as usual.

I have been collecting all sorts of boxes so I can turn them into gift boxes. The one you did is absolutely beautiful. I hope the little one does keep it, and treasure it.
